This evening me, my wife and bro went to Jalan Alor to have dinner. After that, we saw the parade started. There were lion and dragon dances, flags, Scottish bagpipers, kompang troupe, and Indian dance. Crowds taking pictures here and there with the lions. Here is some photo shots that I manage to get.

Later on, we stroll to the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to shop. We saw a fashion show when we arrived, and sat on the stairs to watch it. There aren’t any shops open yet. We bought a mooncake from Lavendar, and signed up two EON Bank’s card (free RM 25 cash voucher) aka Pavillion Card. Yee haa!

[tags]parking malaysia, mid valley malaysia[/tags]
This isn’t my day. This afternoon, I went for an appointment at The Boulevard (next to MidValley), and went to the Boulevard Parking (H, i think). Boy, as expected full of parked cars. I couldn’t find a place. So I stroll round and round, bump one or two times on the right tire when go up to the next floor. The third time, BAM! A FLAT TIRE. This of course ruined my appointment of the day. The next thing in my mind was, where to find a mechanic to fix it? Changing the spare tire would be a waste of time, as it is not the same size of the other tires. In the end, I drove back to my office in Jalan Imbi, slowly with a flat tire. Cost me RM 158. <sigh>.. The good thing is that, at least my parking fee is FREE.
Lesson learned: I will NEVER parked at The Boulevard parking (ZONE H) (a lot of reserve parking, narrow). Park at MidValley Parking instead.

Happy 50th Independence Day Malaysia
3 Comments · Posted by Teh Theng Heng in Holiday, LifeLog
We like wish our fellow Malaysians Selamat Hari Merdeka.
I just got back to my hometown in Pahang. Traffic is extremely quiet this morning.
Every time we have a celebration in Malaysia, we keep notice some normally trends:
- Parking area fees suddenly sky-rocketed!
- Young motorcyclist rampaging the streets with flags, some even without helmets. (some really look like road bullies!)
- Lots of big lorries / trucks on highways
- Massive jam before the celebration
This is why, me & my family would rather stayed at home during the celebration. But once in a while, like New Year we will walked out to Jalan Bukit Bintang and enjoy the fireworks. Have a Happy Weekend!

Durian Season are coming to an end (2007)
No comments · Posted by Teh Theng Heng in LifeLog, Tips & Tricks
Well, you know what this means. No more dry coughs, less traffic in the clinics, and no more smelly durians in MY car. Horray!
So, for those who wants to buy durians during this time, pick your durian wisely, as it might not taste as good as the starting of the durian season. Next event, Mooncake festival is just around the corner.
Guys, I need your help.. Any ideas on how to get rid of the durian smell in MY car? It still stinks after so long..
